Job Description: Part Time Facilities assistant manager:
You will be responsible for assisting in the smooth running of a state of the art all weather facility and your duties involve encouraging people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to use the facilities, and making sure they have a safe and enjoyable experience, overseeing the day-to-day running of the facilities and devising activity programmes, booking queries, new business development, general duties such as promoting the facility, attracting new members and dealing with complaints. You will work with the local community, liaising with clubs and schools to determine there needs
When on duty you will also be responsible for the maintaining of the dressing room areas, ensuring they are keep in an appropriate condition at the end of day. This will require willingness to clean and wash down surfaces. Responsibilities for the allocation and supply of hooks, nets, flags etc for each booking are also required.
The role may involve attending meetings and events at weekends and in the evening. You may also be required to organise volunteers on occasion.
You will ideally have
- Excellent organisational, administrative and planning skills
- Enthusiasm and self-motivation
- A passionate interest in sport.
- Ideally a leisure management qualification. (Not essential but desirable)
- An interest in promoting sport and fitness.
- An interest in community development
- Be good at decision making
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
